When fees and penalties are charged

We charge fees to assess applications for a consent, variations, and exemptions, to invest in sensitive New Zealand assets.

Fees vary according to several factors such as, the type of application and whether the Overseas Investment team at LINZ or the minister decides the application. We may also charge administration penalties, for example, if you apply for consent retrospectively or if you file your documents late.
