Information about the capabilities that relate to different types of roles at Toitū Te Whenua LINZ

Ngā Pūkenga o Toitū Te Whenua (Ngā Pūkenga) is loosely translated as the skills of LINZ and is our capability framework, which describes “how” we fulfil our roles. It complements the technical & professional knowledge and skills we need to do our work.

All roles at Toitū Te Whenua have been grouped into clusters that have similar capability expectations. The capabilities have been described differently for each cluster so there is clarity in what is expected for each role.

Ngā Pūkenga is based on the Leadership success profile from Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission:

This sets out the leadership expectations for the public service. It also includes five capabilities specific to Toitū Te Whenua:

  • Ensures health, safety and wellbeing
  • Working/leading inclusively
  • Professional discipline and technical expertise
