Working with address data

Useful information for people working with addresses and the New Zealand profile of ISO-19160-1.2015 standard.

Useful information

We have developed useful information for anyone who works with addresses, as a key component of the New Zealand Property Spine. This explains what makes a good address, discusses address concepts and looks at practical issues, including ‘validation.’

Standardising addressing data

We have developed a New Zealand addressing profile from the ISO-19160-1.2015 standard.  This addressing profile supports people managing or working with address data. The profile aims to standardise address data across New Zealand so it can be openly shared and used in addressing systems and applications.
