Create, delete or withdraw a survey

To create a survey you must enter a surveyor’s reference, survey purpose and relevant land district. Once the survey is created, a CSD is allocated to it. If required, a survey can be deleted or withdrawn.

  • Create a new survey

A surveyor’s reference, the survey purpose and the land district need to be entered before a CSD reference can be allocated and the survey created.
  • Delete a survey

An existing survey can be deleted at any time before submission. If a survey is deleted it cannot be recovered.
  • Return a survey dataset

A survey can be returned by contacting us within 5 days of submission. You may need to do this to make a minor change or add details, for example.
  • Withdraw a survey

After a survey has been submitted, the Signing Surveyor can contact us to ask for the dataset to be returned or withdrawn.
