Create, delete or return a survey

It is important to select the correct survey purpose in New Landonline - Survey. Use this information to help get this right.

To create a survey in Landonline, you need to enter a surveyor’s reference, the survey purpose, and the land district. Once the survey is created, a CSD reference is automatically allocated to it.

The delete a dataset before submission functionality is used when you have started your survey, but not submitted it to Toitū Te Whenua LINZ

The delete a survey dataset functionality is used after a submitted dataset is returned to you by Toitū Te Whenua LINZ either because you have requested its return, or Toitū Te Whenua LINZ has returned it for correction.

The return a survey dataset functionality is used after you have submitted a dataset but before it is approved. You would use this function when you want to amend or delete the dataset.
