You can attach supporting documents to your survey using the supporting documents panel.
- Supporting documents are attached as images in JPEG, JPG, TIFF, TIF, or PDF file formats.
- The maximum file size is 10MB.
- You can add up to 5 documents per upload.
TIFF images must be attached:
- using the standard CCITT G3 or G4 compression
- with a suggested resolution range of 150 to 300 dpi. Note that PDF files that will be incorporated into the Record of Survey are converted to 300 dpi TIFF on upload.
- as a single multi-page TIFF image, where the document has multiple pages.
Check supporting documents after plan compilation and before submission
You can add colour images as supporting documents in Landonline.
Any supporting document types you add that make up part of the Record of Survey (Schedule/Memorandum, Occupation Diagram and Plan Graphic) will be converted to greyscale in the plan.
You should check these for image quality once Plan Generation has been completed, prior to submission of the plan.
1. Open the supporting documents panel
Select the Supporting documents icon in the left-hand Workflow control bar.
2. Select +Add supporting documents
You’ll find this at the bottom left of the panel.

Any documents that have been converted to greyscale will show a greyscale icon in the Supporting documents panel.
The attached files will now appear in the supporting documents panel.
Save documents in portrait format before attaching
Warning:
When you attach a document in landscape format, and it is a document type that will be included in the compiled Record of Survey, Plan Generation condenses the page into portrait format, rather than rotating it.
Ensure you save your files in portrait format before adding them to your supporting documents. This will prevent them from being condensed in Plan Generation.
Example:
A Plan graphic PDF in supporting documents. It was saved and uploaded in landscape format.
The same Plan graphic as a page in the compiled Record of Survey. It has been condensed during Plan Generation to fit portrait format.
