My Work page

When you log in to Landonline, the My Work page displays. This is the landing page for Landonline Survey.

Surveys created in both this application and Legacy Landonline will be listed on the My work page. 

From My Work you can:

  • create, open, or delete surveys
  • open Plan Generation for spatially captured surveys
  • view all surveys you are enabled to, and all your firm’s surveys
  • filter firm surveys by enabled user
  • see the status of surveys, for example Submitted, On requisition, etc.
  • see the progress of requests relating to your surveys, and create new requests
  • switch the firm you are logged into Landonline with
  • switch applications to Web Search, Requests, or Notices
  • create a TA certification request
  • give feedback to Toitū Te Whenua LINZ
  • access help content for Landonline Survey.

Surveys are listed under 5 tabs

You will see 5 tabs on the My Work page:

  1. My surveys lists all surveys that you are enabled to. This includes surveys where you are assigned as the primary contact and/or signing surveyor, and any surveys where you have been added as an enabled user.
  2. Primary contact lists surveys where you are the primary contact.  
  3. Signing surveyor lists surveys where you are the signing surveyor.
  4. Enabled surveys lists surveys where you are an enabled user only, and not assigned as the primary contact or signing surveyor.
  5. Firm surveys lists all surveys for your firm. You can filter these by enabled user, including users from external firms who have been enabled to your firm’s surveys.

    Any surveys that you are not enabled to are read-only.

Filter surveys by enabled user

Under Firm surveys, you can filter the listed surveys by enabled user. This allows you to check which surveys at your firm a specific user has access to.

Left-click on Filter by enabled user at the top of the Firm Surveys tab.

A drop-down appears, listing all users enabled to surveys at your firm. This list includes:

  • active users associated to your firm, if they are enabled to any survey
  • inactive users who haven’t yet been removed from your firm, if they are still enabled to a survey
  • external users who are enabled to any of your firm’s surveys.

Removing inactive users

Inactive users won't show in the Enable users panel in a survey. If you need to remove an inactive user from a survey, you'll need to phone customer support on 0800 665 463 for assistance.

You can either type the name or scroll down the list to find a user. Click on a name to select it.

Firm surveys will now only show any surveys at your firm that the selected user is enabled to.

To clear the filter and view all firm surveys, either:

  • select the Reset filter icon to the right of the filter

  • click back into the filter and select None at the top of the list.

Switch firms

If you work under more than 1 firm, you can left-click on your user name at the top right of the page to switch the firm you are logged into Landonline with.  

A drop-down appears, listing all firms you are associated to in Landonline. A tick next to the firm name indicates which firm you’re currently logged in under.

To change firms, select another firm from the drop-down list. 

Make sure you don’t have any surveys open in other browser tabs before switching firms. 

Switch Landonline applications

The 9-dot icon at the top left of the My Work page allows you to switch between Landonline applications. Left-click the icon to switch between or open:

  • Web Search
  • Survey
  • Requests
  • Notices
  • My Messages.

Select the application to open it in your current tab, or left-click the arrow to the right of the application to open it in a new tab. The application with a solid green icon is the application you’re currently in.

Open the main menu

Select the 3-line icon at the top right of the My Work page to open the main menu. From here you can: 

  • create a request
  • view your profile
  • view your login options
  • change your password
  • update your authentication email
  • see What's new in Survey
  • access Known issues for survey
  • access help content for Landonline Survey
  • give feedback on the application
  • logout.

Access support information and help content

You can access Landonline support information or help content in several ways.

Main menu

Select Get help from the Main menu. This takes you to the Landonline – Survey support landing page on our website. You can also select Known issues to take you to the Known issues for Survey page on our website.

Get help icons

Select the Get help icon (a question mark) on any page or panel to access specific help content about that page or panel.

Hover over icons to find out more

Hover your mouse cursor over an icon to see:

  • the name or function of the icon, or
  • further explanation.

Create a new survey

Select the Create survey button (+ icon) at the top right of the My Work page to create a new survey.

Open a survey in Survey Capture or Plan Generation

Open a survey by left-clicking on its CSD reference to open the drop-down menu.

From the drop-down menu, you can choose between opening the CSD in:

Open CSD in Plan Generation will be greyed out and unavailable to select for:

  • locked surveys
  • submitted surveys
  • aspatial datasets, for example unit plan or cross lease.

You can only open a locked survey in Survey Capture in Read-only mode.

View survey status

You can see the status of submitted or requisitioned surveys underneath the CSD reference.

Survey shows as locked

A survey marked by a padlock indicates that it is read-only. This symbol shows here when you are not enabled to the survey, or when the survey is:

  • locked by you  
  • locked by another user
  • submitted
  • pending submission.

Reopen a survey showing that it’s locked by you

A survey may show as locked by you because you:

  • exited the survey using the back button on your browser instead of the Back to MyWork icon
  • closed your web browser with the survey still open
  • have the survey open in another browser tab or window
  • have the survey open in Legacy Landonline.

Unlock the survey by:

  1. reopening it from your My Work page. Ensure you use the Back to MyWork icon to exit correctly when you have finished.

or

  1. if you have it open in Legacy Landonline, ensure you close it there before reopening in Landonline Survey.

View outstanding LINZ request or TA certification status

If you have any TA certification requests or other incomplete requests associated to a survey, they are shown in the LINZ/TA requests column.

Exception requests

Exception requests will not show here. You can see the status of an exception request next to the CSD reference for the survey.

Incomplete LINZ requests

Incomplete LINZ requests are indicated by a blue square icon showing the number of outstanding requests.

When you hover your mouse over the icon, it says: “You have # outstanding requests”.

Select the icon to view the request(s):

  • If you have 1 outstanding request, when you select the icon it will immediately open the request in another tab.
  • If you have more than 1 outstanding request, a pop-up will open. Select the request you want to open from the list.

TA certification status

The TA certification icon changes as the request progresses. Hover your mouse over the icon to see the current status.

More actions menu – delete survey, create TA request, or remove me from survey.

Select the 3-dot icon to the right of a survey to open More actions:

  • Delete survey  
  • Create TA request
  • Remove me from (CSD reference)

Delete survey

You can delete surveys that are under the same Primary contact firm as you.

Create TA request

You can open TA Certification requests on the My Work page by selecting:

  • the 3-dot menu, if no TA request has been started previously

  • the TA request status icons when a TA request has been started, is in progress, or is complete.

Remove me from (CSD reference)

You can use this option to remove yourself from a survey where you have been enabled as an external user, that is, a user not from the Primary contact firm.

If you are the signing surveyor, you will need to reassign this role to another user before removing yourself.
