The Surveyor-General has published guidelines on the Rules for Cadastral Survey 2010 online. These guidelines supersede the Interpretation guide to Rules for Cadastral Survey 2010 - LINZG65700.

This standard specifies the requirements for surveying and recording the position of utility assets. It builds on the Utility Location Standard that was launched in 2022 and incorporates new accuracy standards for surveying invert levels for as-builts.
