PositioNZ
The Toitū Te Whenua PositioNZ network currently consists of 37 continuously operating reference stations (CORS) located throughout New Zealand (including the Chatham Islands) and Antarctica. Data is also available from several other CORS in New Zealand and Antarctica.

New Zealand Geodetic Datum 1949 (NZGD1949) ‘D’ coordinates were computed and adjusted in terms of New Zealand Geodetic Datum 2000 (NZGD2000) and then transformed into NZGD1949 using a grid transformation.

Chatham Islands Geodetic Datum 1979 (CIGD1979) was previously used to define positions on the Chatham Islands. New Zealand Geodetic Datum 2000 (NZGD2000) is now the official datum used in the Chatham Islands, superseding CIG1979 from March 1998.

Chatham Islands Geodetic Datum 1971 (CIGD1971) was previously used to define positions on the Chatham Islands. It was replaced in 1981 by Chatham Islands Geodetic Datum 1979 (CIGD1979), and both were superseded by New Zealand Geodetic Datum 2000 (NZGD2000) from March 1998.
