The Tax statements page shows a summary of all the instruments and roles that require tax statements in the dealing.

Overview

  • Depending on where you’re in a dealing, you have a range of ways to navigate to the Tax statements page.
  • The Tax statements page shows a summary of all the instruments and roles that require tax statements in the dealing.  
  • The Tax statements functionality is only visible/accessible when the instrument and estate type indicate that tax details will be required.

What to do

  1. Navigate to the Tax statements page.
    • Depending on where you’re in the dealing, you have a range of ways to navigate to the Tax statements page:
      • From your Landing page, select the three-dot menu at the end of a dealing row, then Tax Statements.
      • From within a dealing, select Tax Statements from the dealing navigation bar.
      • From the Instrument & Roles page, select the three-dot menu next to the transfer instrument, then select Tax Statements from the dropdown menu.
      • Use the Tax Statement button on the Prepare instrument page.

If the transaction relates to Māori land or is part of a Treaty settlement, switch the toggle button to the right and select which exemption applies. The tax statement will show as complete and you won't need (or be able to) launch and complete the tax statements.
