Update user privileges

How system managers can update a user in their firm's privileges, or actions they can do in Landonline.

Only system managers can assign user privileges. User privileges include actions a user can do in Landonline, such as the ability to cancel a dealing.

You can't change a user's certify and sign rights or contact details in this section.

Start on the Account management page

Use the righthand menu to go to your Account management page.

1: Select Firm users tab.

Select Firm users to view the users list or assign user privileges.

You'll see a list of users for your firm.

You can start to type a name or User ID into the filter to quickly bring up a user.

2: Check contractor box, if needed.

Skip this step if you're not a dealing firm, or you don't hire contractors.

Select a checkbox in the contractor column if the user is a contractor.

A message will appear in the top right of your screen to confirm the change.

3: Click on a User ID to view details or assign privileges.

Click on a User ID link to open the User information panel.

Select user ID.

In this panel you can preview the user's contact details and update their privileges.

4: Select the arrow to review contact details, if needed.

Select the arrow next to Contact details to review the user's details. 

These are read only. Individuals need to change their own details. For information on how to change contact details:

5: Remove privileges.

In the Groups and Privileges section is a list of privileges assigned to a user.

Select the X next to a privilege to remove it.

If a privilege does not have an X it means the user has that privilege assigned to them as part of a group.

6: Add privileges.

In the Groups and Privileges section is a pencil icon. Select the pencil to open a menu of privileges.

The privileges the user already has will be checked. 

Select the checkbox next to the privileges you wish to assign to the user.

You can also uncheck privileges in this menu to remove them.

To close the menu, select the X at the top right of the menu.

7: Remove a group privilege for a user, if needed.

You can't add or edit groups in Landonline yet, but you can remove a privilege for a user associated with a group.

The In groups column in the User information panel lists the privileges a user shares as part of a group.

You can select the pencil icon in the In groups column to bring up a menu of privileges.

Click on the checkbox to remove a privilege for a user.

8: Save or discard changes.

Select Save changes at the bottom of the panel to keep the changes, or Discard to remove them.
