About multi-factor authentication

Overview of multi-factor authentication (MFA) for logging into New Landonline.

From 2 April 2024 we'll roll out multi-factor authentication (MFA) for New Landonline on a firm-by-firm basis. We'll reach out to your firm's trusted contact with dates and supporting information as we get closer to applying this change to your New Landonline account.

About MFA

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to the log in process. This protects your account and New Landonline.

If you don’t have MFA, you’ll be asked to set it up before you can log into New Landonline.

If you have MFA, you’ll be asked to authenticate your account with a new one-time code every time you log into New Landonline.

You can get one-time codes from:

  • an authenticator app from Microsoft or Google
  • SMS text messages
  • a phone call.

How to use the Microsoft Authenticator app,

Google authenticator app

You must choose at least 1 MFA option for receiving one-time codes. We recommend using an authenticator app as your primary option. It's a good idea to also have a backup option.

You'll still need your user ID and password to log into New Landonline. The one-time code is an extra security step.
