3. Activate Notice to Mortgagee

Notice to Mortgagee (NtM) automatically sends subscribed lending institutions (such as banks) copies of the registered mortgage and updated Record of Title when the dealing is registered.

Overview

Notice to Mortgagee (NtM) automatically sends subscribed lending institutions (such as banks) copies of the registered mortgage and updated Record of Title when the dealing is registered. This replaces the need for the post registration searches to be forwarded to the relevant lending institution (lender) by the acting solicitor.

What to do

  1. Enter the Bank client reference.

    There is a 100-character limit.

    • You will only see this field if the mortgagee is a subscribed lender.
    • A Bank client reference must be entered when a lender is subscribed to the Notice to Mortgagee service. The letter of instruction from the lender will tell you what you need to enter.
    • When the dealing is registered, the lender will be emailed the registered mortgage instrument and updated title.
