tārua | saddle: A low point in the crest line of a ridge, commonly between the heads of streams flowing in opposite directions. Also a low point between two peaks of a mountain.Sometimes referred to as a pass or a col, however a pass is generally considered to be higher and a col even higher still and more difficult to cross.
