Background

The Applicant is a limited partnership, established as part of the Craigmore Sustainables Group. It is a forestry and horticulture investment vehicle and already holds a significant amount of land in New Zealand for those purposes.

The Applicant is acquiring approximately 712 hectares of freehold land near Masterton. The land is currently used for forestry purposes. The total productive area of the property is approximately 645 hectares, nearly exclusively planted in pinus radiata.

The Applicant plans to continue using the land for production forestry.

Consent was granted as the Applicant has met the investor test criterion and the special forestry test criteria.
