Background

The Applicant is a joint venture between Assetz NZ Freedom LL Limited (80%) and Freedom Group Holdings Limited (20%). The Applicant is part of the Freedom Lifestyle Group which has been a Retirement Village operator for over 10 years.

The Applicant will develop and operate a retirement village on the land which is currently vacant.

Consent was granted as the Applicant has met the investor test criterion and the Investment is likely to result in one of the increased housing outcomes, being the construction of a long-term accommodation facility, on the land.
