What is proposed?
The proposal is to alter the official place name Papuka Stream to Pākuku Stream for a small stream that flows into the Pacific Ocean, approximately 9.6km west-southwest of Cape Turnagain on the Wairarapa coast.
The Board considered this proposal report at its meeting on 20 April 2021. The proposal is open for submissions from 27 May to 28 June 2021 so that the public can make submissions supporting or objecting to the name.
