What is proposed?
To alter Poverty Canyon to Māhia Canyon and make it the official name of an undersea canyon offshore from Mahia Peninsula.
The NZGB considered this proposal report at its meeting on 2 April 2020. The proposal is notified for one month so that the public can make submissions supporting or objecting to the name.
