The Applicant is a New Zealand company ultimately owned by Toda Asia Pacific Pte Limited and Perfect Match Investments NZ Limited. The Vendor and the Applicant are related companies in that they are both part or wholly owned by Perfect Match HK.

The Applicant is acquiring Moose Lodge, a historic property on the shore of Lake Rotoiti which has been closed since 2005, to refurbish and fully re-open it to the public.

The main benefits to New Zealand are likely to be increased capital expenditure, the creation of jobs, and revenue generated from international tourism, supporting the New Zealand Government’s strategic vision and plan to boost tourism.

Consent was granted as the Applicant met the investor test criterion and the investment is likely to benefit New Zealand.
