What is proposed?

The proposals are to correct the spelling of Mount Treacey to Mount Treacy, Treacey’s Bluff to Treacy Bluff and Treaceys Flat to Treacy Flat, making them the official names, for features at the south of Hohonu Range and on the right bank of Taramakau River, near Kumara on the West Coast of Te Waipounamu South Island.

At its hui on 30 April 2026 the Board considered this report on the proposals. The proposals are notified for one month so that the public can make submissions supporting or objecting to the proposed names.
