Consultation is open for two months to make 7 locally used place names in Hobsonville official.
Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa New Zealand Geographic Board received proposals from a member of the Hobsonville community to make these names official. These seven are already in use by the local community.
The seven names in local use are:

- Isitt Gully
- Pottery Creek
- Gunn Point
- Launch Bay
- Bruce Point
- Monterey Park
