The Te Arawa Lakes aquatic weed control programme helps protect lake health, native biodiversity and the cultural values of the Te Arawa lakes by controlling invasive aquatic weeds such as lagarosiphon, egeria and hornwort.
Te Arawa Lakes Trust leads the delivery of the programme, with support from Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ), Bay of Plenty Regional Council and other partners.
