Biosecurity control work

Our annual biosecurity control programme identifies the region and sites where we are proposing to carry out pest and weed control, and what biosecurity control methods we intend to use at each site.

A full list of planned biosecurity control work by all our suppliers and partner agencies is provided in the annual programme.

Current and upcoming aquatic weed control work

Before undertaking any control work, we notify the public by:

  • putting up signs near affected areas
  • publishing notices in local papers
  • broadcasting notices on radio
  • posting information on this website.

Most of our control work is weather dependent so published dates may change at short notice. We try to avoid carrying out any spraying that will impact on weekends and public holidays.

Our current and upcoming control work page provides detailed information about our aquatic weed control work by region.
