Oversowing and Top-dressing

Ongoing maintenance
Reasons for decision
The Commissioner of Crown Lands has determined that granting consent to maintain oversowing and top-dressing is appropriate. The Director General of Conservation has advised the conditions will protect any inherent values present.
Conditions of decision
Consent is granted for OSTD, subject to the following conditions:
- A 25-metre buffer (including the marginal strip) from all waterways when oversowing or top-dressing.
- Oversowing and top-dressing should be avoided within the areas shaded red on the attached plan.
- Seed to be sown should be approved pasture seed.
- Oversown and top-dressed areas are to be maintained with adequate fertiliser based on soil testing.
- That the area oversown and top-dressed is limited to the area shaded green on the attached map (approximately 1,950 hectares).
The Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 provides that permission to undertake the activity may still be needed under other enactments.
