Background

The consent holder was granted a standing consent on 20 July 2022, which was varied on 11 August 2022, under the increased housing, non-residential use and incidental residential use pathways. 

The standing consent permits the consent holder to acquire up to 300 hectares of residential (but not otherwise sensitive) land in up to 25 transactions with a maximum of 25 hectares per transaction by 20 July 2027. 

This is the eighth acquisition of land under the standing consent. 

The consent holder will develop the land, together with other properties surrounding the land, as part of the development of 24 new retirement units within the next 2 years.
