Background

The Applicant is ultimately owned by Radayla International Pty Limited as trustee of the Radayla International Trust and forms part of Iris Capital, a privately owned Australian investment group with a diversified portfolio across hospitality, property, and entertainment assets.

Christchurch Casinos Limited owns and operates the Christchurch Casino and holds a 33% ownership interest in Dunedin Casinos Limited, both of which provides gambling and casino services.

The land is currently, and will continue to be, used as a commercial carpark for the Christchurch Casino.

Consent was granted as the Applicant has met the investor test criterion and the Investment is likely to meet the non-residential use test.
