| Background | The Applicants are owned by Ingka Investments B.V., the investment arm of Ingka Group, which is the largest franchisee of IKEA stores internationally. The Applicants will acquire the land, and hold a forestry right over the land, respectively. They are acquiring approximately 243.6784 hectares of land with approximately 165 hectares of pinus radiata and 57.7 hectares of Douglas fir, both planted in 2020. The Applicants intend to continue using the land for forestry purposes. Consent was granted as the national interest test was met. |
