We are seeking nominations for the Valuers Registration Board and chair of the Orton Bradley Park Board. 

Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) administers the nomination and appointment process for several boards. 

Nominations are now open for:

  1. a Registered Valuer to join the Valuers Registration Board (VRB)
  2. the Chair of the Orton Bradley Park Board in Christchurch.

Both appointments will be made by the Governor-General on the advice of the Minister for Land Information and more information is provided below.  

Valuers Registration Board  

The Valuers Registration Board protects consumers by registering qualified land valuers and setting the criteria against which valuers are assessed for registration purposes, including setting and running an examination process to test the applicants’ competency for registration. The board also oversees the professional discipline of valuers.

The Board consists of the Valuer-General and four members.  

We are looking for nominations for a new representative who is a registered valuer.

Orton Bradley Park Board  

The Orton Bradley Park Board is a volunteer organisation that oversees the management of the 650-hectare Orton Bradley Park in Charteris Bay on Banks Peninsula. 

The Minister’s only role under the R O Bradley Estate Act 1972 is to appoint the board’s chair.

Nominees for the chair need to: 

  • be permanent residents of Canterbury
  • have a history of community involvement
  • have an ability to lead an organisation that manages a complex community asset.

Nominations close on 24 October 2025.
