Once you have searched for a survey, you can:

  • view order options for the survey
  • display survey work spatially on the map
  • add the survey to an XML data extraction
  • add the survey to your product list
  • view the survey summary with details such as surveyor, purpose, survey dates etc.
  • view and locate related parcels
  • view and order the survey’s supporting documents
  • view referenced surveys.

When you search by surveyor, you can also export a list of the search results as a CSV file.

Search survey by survey number

1. Enter the survey number into the search field

You can enter a survey number or alternate survey number.

Alternate survey numbers are the historical identifiers used by individual Land Districts before national plan numbering was standardised. They link older references in legal documents, Gazette notices, and survey plans to current records in Landonline.

For more information about alternate survey numbers, see:
Alternate survey numbers

You must enter the exact survey number as this search does not support best match. However, you do not have to include the suffix, for example /A, as suffixed records are included automatically in the results.

Any survey plans with a matching survey number or alternate survey number will appear in the list.

Where a record has an alternate survey number, the current record is displayed first with the alternate survey numbers in brackets.

You do not need to include the survey plan type code. However, if you don’t include it, all pre-Landonline surveys with the same record number or alternate survey number will appear in the drop-down list. For more specific results, include the prefix.
