There are usually 3 types of disconnections or dropped connections:
- timeouts
- network disconnections
- crashes.
Keep informed on planned or unplanned outages:
Timeouts
Landonline will timeout if you haven't done anything in it for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes a pop-up box will appear warning you your session will end. You have 2 minutes to use Landonline before you’re logged out.
Solutions to timeouts
To avoid timeouts move your mouse or use your keyboard. If you have a timeout, log back in again.
Network disconnections
A network disconnection occurs when the connection between your device and Landonline is interrupted.
When a network disconnection occurs your Landonline session closes and an error message will appear.
Solutions to network disconnections
Network disconnections can be broken anywhere between your device and Landonline. This includes connections:
- from your device to your modem or router
- to your internet service provider
- from the internet to Landonline’s internet service provider.
To diagnose where the break is happening, we recommend asking your IT service provider to run a test.
Crashes
A crash is a failure within Landonline itself.
There are 2 types of crashes:
- database crash
- application crash.
When a database or application crash occurs you may get an error message or a 404 not available screen.
Solutions to crashes
Please report any crashes to our Customer Support with as much detail as possible, including:
- when the problem occurred and for how long
- the error message number and message
- what you were doing, the transaction ID or Landonline number
- whether this has happened before.
Manual lodgements
If you've been advised a Landonline crash may happen for an unusually long time, dealing users have the option of a manual lodgement:
