Attributing LINZ data

Almost all data from the LINZ Data Service is provided under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence.

This means you are free to use, reuse and share data as long as you attribute the work to LINZ as the original source of the data.

Attribution

When attributing LINZ you need to credit the data source as the LINZ Data Service and include the licence type:

“Sourced from the LINZ Data Service and licensed for reuse under the CC BY 4.0 licence.

If you adapt this work (data) in any way or include it in a collection, and publish, distribute or otherwise disseminate that adaptation or collection to the public, the following attribution should be used: 

Contains data sourced from the LINZ Data Service licensed for reuse under CC BY 4.0”
