You must release all instruments before you can submit your dealing.
Once you've submitted a dealing, Landonline sends an email notification to your submitting firm's primary contact. This confirms the status of the dealing.
Notification types
Notification types depend on the dealing status:
- Auto – an email is sent to confirm registration or rejection.
- Lodge – an email is sent when the dealing is updated to registered or rejected.
- Requisitioned, rejected or refused – an email notification is sent.
When you submit a dealing
When you submit your dealing Landonline will:
- display whether the dealing has registered, auto-rejected, queued or lodged with us for processing
- update the dealing status on your landing page, or remove the dealing in the case of registered dealings
- allocate a date and time of lodgement which informs order of registration.
When you select Back to your Dealings to return to your Landing page:
- registered dealings will no longer be in your work in progress
- lodged or queued dealings will have an updated status but can't be opened or the dealing edited
- rejected dealings will show under their new dealing number.
When a dealing registers
When a dealing registers the submitter will receive an email attaching the Notice of Registration. All users in their firm will also be able to view this notice in the Notices application.
Any post-registration searches requested are emailed to the user who submitted the dealing.
If applicable, the Notice to Mortgagee will automatically get sent to the lender and the Notice of Change will automatically get sent to the relevant territorial authorities.
When a dealing is rejected
When a dealing is rejected the submitter will receive an email attaching the Notice of Rejection. All users in their firm will also be able to view this notice in the Notices application.
A replacement dealing is created with a new dealing number. You can then correct the dealing and resubmit it, if needed.
All original certifications and signatures will remain on the instruments until any edits are made.
Steps to correct your dealing
- Select Back to your Dealings to return to your Landing page, or click the link to go to the new dealing
- Correct the dealing.
- Certify and sign the dealing, if needed.
- Select Submit.
Post-registration searches cancelled
Any post-registration searches are cancelled for the rejected dealing. Searches will need to be re-ordered when the replacement dealing is submitted.
Fees and rejected dealings
Fees are still charged for rejected dealings, but are then waived if you submit:
- the new dealing within 40 days
- a new dealing substantially the same as the rejected dealing.
You'll need to pay fees for each new instrument you add to the dealing.
When a dealing is requisitioned
If a dealing is requisitioned, the submitter will receive an email with a Notice of Requisition attached, explaining the reasons why the dealing was requisitioned.
When a dealing is requisitioned its status changes from Lodged to Requisitioned.
Instruments in the dealing that are affected by the requisition will have a status of Requisitioned. All original certifications and signatures will remain on the instruments until any edits are made.
Any other instruments that are not requisitioned will have a status of Released.
You can edit the dealing from your landing page, make the relevant changes to instruments and resubmit it.
The dealing keeps its original place in the queue, with the same date and time of lodgement.
Any post-registration searches are cancelled for the requisitioned dealing. Searches will need to be re-ordered when the updated dealing is submitted.
You must correct the dealing and resubmit it within the time stated in the Notice of Requisition, usually 40 days.
Queued dealings
Landonline will automatically progress registration of the dealing once prior dealings have been finalised. Then a Notice of Registration, Rejection or Requisition will be sent to the primary contact of the submitting firm.
Lodged dealings
Your dealing goes to our processing team who will put it in their work queue.
Fees will not be charged until the dealing is registered, rejected or refused.
Once the dealing has been processed, a Notice of Registration, Rejection or Refusal will be sent to the submitter.
Post-registration searches will be sent if the dealing is registered.
