Apply for a licence to access personal data available through the LINZ Data Service

To apply for access, complete the application form using the same email address you use to access your LDS account.

If more than one person in your organisation requires access you can apply for one licence and share internally in compliance with the terms and conditions

We will email you the outcome and aim to review applications within five working days.

Your responsibilities when accessing personal data

Access to personal data under the LINZ Licence for Personal Data carries legal obligations.

As the licensee:

  • You are responsible for the lawful use of the data
  • You must comply with the LINZ Licence for Personal Data
  • You must comply with the Privacy Act 2020 when storing, sharing, and using this data

This responsibility applies to you and anyone you share this data with.
