Send completed NoC to territorial authority (TA)

How to send a Notice of Change (NoC) form to the territorial authority (TA).

If you have created the NoC as part of the dealing (NoC)

If you've created a Notice of Change (NoC) as part of a dealing, when the NoC is ready to submit to the TA, and once the instrument is signed, select Ready to send at the bottom of the form.

The Ready to send button in the NoC will remain greyed out until you have signed the related instrument. This ensures the data sent to councils reflects the final, signed version.

When you mark the NoC as Ready to send:

  • the status shown at the top of the form will change to Ready to send
  • the finalised NoC will automatically be sent to the relevant TA by overnight batch email once the dealing is registered
  • each practitioner named in the NoC will be emailed a copy of the final NoC.

If the NoC isn’t finalised or marked Ready to send, a copy of the draft NoC is sent to each party in the dealing. Warnings that the NoC hasn’t been finalised are triggered when releasing instruments in a dealing.

Warning: If you make changes to owners in an instrument after signing

A NoC status of Ready to send "locks" the signed instrument data that will be sent to the TA. This means any changes made to an instrument after signing are not automatically reflected in a Ready to send NoC. Note that the NoC may appear correct in preview, however it will send the previously saved, "out of date" data to the TA.

If you have marked a NoC as Ready to send then later revert the instrument to draft and make changes to owner information, you will need to manually "refresh" the NoC:

  1. Sign the updated instrument.
  2. Click into any field in the NoC to remove Ready to Send and set the status back to In Progress.
see also: Updating an NoC when it has Ready to send status
  3. Select Ready to send.

This updates the data in the NoC to reflect the latest signed version of the instrument.

Updating an NoC when it has Ready to send status

You can update the NoC even when it is has a Ready to send status.

When you click into the field on the form you want to edit you’ll get a warning that editing the field will remove the Ready to send status. Select OK to make any edits.

The form will need to be put back into the Ready to send status before the dealing is submitted. Select Ready to send to do this.

If you have corrected the NoC post-submission (CNoC)

For a CNoC, once you have completed the form, select Send at the bottom of the form to immediately send this CRNoC to the TA.

For a correction to the NoC, the notice type will display.

If you have created the NoC post-registration (PRNoC)

For a PRNoC, once you have completed the form, select Send at the bottom of the form to immediately send this PRNoC to the TA.

For a Post-registration, the notice type will display.

Landonline will not save your information if you navigate away from the NoC.
