Add affected instrument numbers (AIN)

How to add an affected instrument number when attaching image only instruments in Landonline.

An Affected Instrument field will only appear above the Attach image field if the image only instrument you are preparing is of a type which affects an existing instrument.

For example, a Surrender of Lease will have an Affected Instrument field.

How to add an affected instrument number

Check the instrument number is correct in the Affected instrument field. This will pre-populate if there is only 1 relevant instrument on the title.

If there is more than 1 relevant instrument, select the correct affected instrument number from the drop-down list in the Affected Instrument field.

If there are more than 60 potentially affected instruments enter the correct one manually. The drop-down will not pre-populate in this instance.

If needed, turn the Change due to pending dealing toggle on and manually enter the instrument number from a pending dealing. Press Tab on your keyboard or click anywhere to continue.

If the instrument you enter has the same number as an instrument in another land district, a Duplicate instrument number pop-up will appear. Select the correct instrument from the list, and then Continue.
