Record a renewed or reinstated mark
Go to this page if you have found a mark that has no record:
Record an old mark with no record
This process records a mark that has been placed in the same position as an old mark that has been physically located and exists on a CSD, but there is no corresponding node to link to in Landonline.
Record a renewed mark with no node ID
1. Capture the mark details for the new mark in the Marks panel
For a non-boundary mark:
- Mark name: IT # DP 6***** [where 6***** is your new CSD reference, and # is a unique mark identifier]
- Mark state: Old
- Mark purpose(s): Non-boundary, PRM, etc., whichever is appropriate.
For a boundary mark:
- Mark name: PEG # DP 6***** [where 6***** is your new CSD reference, and # is a unique mark identifier]
- Mark state: Old
- Mark purpose: Boundary
2. Select Renewed from the condition field
Double-click on Reliably Placed to open the Condition menu. Select Renewed (located at bottom of list).
3. Complete the Match renewed marks pop-up
Because there is no node to select, select the check box next to ‘There is no node’.
Type in the original mark name under Name of renewed mark. Do not include “renewed” as this will be added automatically.
At the top of the panel, under the new mark’s name, the mark description will show as [Old mark name] renewed. This mark description will be added automatically to the diagrams when you generate your plans.
Select Continue to save the mark details and close the pop-up.
4. View mark in Marks panel
Note that the mark Condition will have reverted to Reliably Placed. The Description field will reflect the Renewed mark status.
Edit renewed mark details
If you have recorded a renewed mark’s details and then need to edit it:
- Double-click into the mark Description field and delete the description, then press Tab to save.
- Double-click on the Condition field and re-select Renewed from the list.
- Select the check box next to ‘There is no node’.
- Edit the name of the renewed mark as needed.
- Select Continue. As before, the condition will revert to Reliably Placed, and the description will reflect your updates.
