Auto-recovery in Layout Plan Sheets

Information on the auto-recovery process in Layout Plan Sheets when Plan Generation closes unexpectedly.

We recommend you save your work regularly as Layout Plan Sheets does not autosave.

However, if Plan Generation unexpectedly closes due to you accidentally closing the browser, a system crash, or automatic session closure after user inactivity, Landonline will give you the option to auto-recover any changes made since your last save when you next open the plan from the same device.

You won’t be able to recover unsaved changes when you leave Layout Plan Sheets via Close layout or Switch mode and you select Leave instead of Save & leave.

How to recover lost work when Plan Generation has unexpectedly closed

1. Open my Work and select the CSD reference for the closed survey

From My Work, select the CSD reference for the plan you were working on prior to Plan Generation closing. The CSD reference may show a lock symbol if you have recently closed Plan Generation.

3. Choose whether to open in survey capture or continue to Plan Generation

If there are any unsaved changes in your layout sheets, a pop-up message will appear. This message advises when the last unsaved change was made, and that:

  • opening the survey will discard any unsaved Layout Plan Sheets changes
  • opening Layout Plan Sheets will allow you to recover them.
