Guidance on complying with the Cadastral Survey Rules 2021 (CSR 2021), related legislation, and meeting Landonline requirements for cadastral survey datasets (CSDs).

These guidelines complement the CSR 2021, Cadastral Survey Act 2002 and other legislation and rules of law relating to cadastral surveys. They are primarily intended for use by licensed cadastral surveyors, staff under their supervision, and LINZ survey staff.

The Index to Cadastral Survey Guidelines below provides links to the guidelines published in the LINZ KnowledgeBase. This index will be expanded as new content is published.

The Surveyor-General’s guidelines on the Rules for Cadastral Survey 2010 (RCS 2010) will continue to be available in the KnowledgeBase until CSDs in terms of those Rules are no longer permitted to be lodged, on 25 February 2022. They are identified with the banner:
